Pretty Knickers: Theatre with a Twist

It is my pleasure to introduce to you: Pretty Knickers

It was a joy to work with such a warm and talented team of women. Inspirational and beautiful on so many counts. Keep your eyes peeled for them,  they've got some exciting stuff on the horizon.

Here's what they have to say for themselves:

Pretty Knickers Productions are an emerging Scottish, all-female company who create bold theatre making no apologies.   We were founded in 2016 by Sarah Dingwall, Claire Docherty, Niamh Kinane, Mhairi McCall, Becky Niven and Lana Pheutan whilst studying Acting for Stage and Screen: ever since then we have aspired to create playful but poignant work.   We are an incredibly close knit company, which, we feel, allows us to make our best and most honest work. We have shared passions in acting, writing and directing: we are a diverse group of young women with a lot to say.   Pretty Knickers have members who are fluent in British Sign language and Gàidhlig and we strive to make our work accessible to all.   We are currently developing our first production, titled ‘OUT’ written by Pretty Knickers’ very own Lana Pheutan, which will be performed at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, where we are over the moon to be making our debut as a company. It has been an ambition for us all to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe, as we value it as a wonderful festival in the city that brought us all together.   Don’t be scared, don’t be shamed, don’t be sorry.
