On the last saturday of June, Cara and Andrew got married in an intimate and emotional ceremony in Pembroke College, Oxford.

There was something particularly poetic about the fact that Cara and Andrew’s closest family and friends, many of whom had travelled over from the USA, were gathered in exactly the spot where the gorgeous couple met for the first time whilst they were students at the university.

The ceremony was held in the college chapel, where Cara and Andrew promised to love each other for the rest of their lives. With the words of the beautiful reading from ‘The Prophet’ on friendship still ringing in our ears and after a hearty rendition of Jerusalem, I think it would be safe to say that I was not the only person with tears in my eyes.

After a spot of croquet on the lawn in Pembroke College grounds, the wedding party moved ob to the Divinity Schools where drinks and canapés were served whilst guests mingled and caught up with each other. After dinner was served, the guests heard moving speeches that celebrated the love between Cara and Andrew, and the joy that they felt at these two families finally becoming one.

Congratulations, Cara and Andrew, on your marriage and for pulling together such a fabulous day.
